Background

I was born in Switzerland (1956) and have spent about half my life living in different countries. Currently I'm living in The Hague, The Netherlands with my partner and our daughter.

Originally I worked as a systems engineer for IBM for 10 years. Although I enjoyed that, I increasingly felt the desire to work more with people. Over the years I became involved in volunteer work in various organizations. About 10 years ago, I started working with people affected by HIV/AIDS. Around that time I was first introduced to narrative ideas. I was immediately drawn to the respectful and empowering way of working and have continually been engaging with these ideas since then. In 2007 I completed the International Postgraduate Diploma from Dulwich Centre, Australia.

From 2002-2007 I worked for an NPO in Switzerland, GGG Voluntas, training hospice volunteers to provide psychosocial support for people wishing to die at home. I also had a small private practice where I met with people over a range of concerns, mainly bereavement.

Now in The Hague, I continue to enjoy working narratively with people as they negotiate their lives' difficult moments. I'll also be collaborating with other counsellors, coaches and therapist in supporting and facilitating different ways for people to find and maintain balance in their lives.
